海洋学家查利·沃隆最近公布的一份报告指出，全球气候变暖将在短短20年时间内让大堡礁这一世界遗产荡然无存。沃隆曾经是澳大利亚海洋学研究所的首席科学家。他表示，“我们已经无能为力，大堡礁将在20年左右时间内消失殆尽。”
